The planned American movie Barbie was written by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach and will be directed by Gerwig. The movie, which is based on Ruth Handler's Barbie fashion dolls, is the first live-action Barbie movie after a number of computer-animated direct-to-video and streaming television productions.
